Partner, Tania Te Whenua (BA Maori Resource Management/LLB Commercial Law) is of Tuhoe and Whakatohea descent. Tania is the Business Director and leads
AwaWhenua's New Zealand based education consultants. She is a Senior Maori Teacher at Victoria University of Wellington's Centre for Lifelong Learning and co-wrote the Centre's Maori language resources. Tania is also a Board Member, Global Focus Aotearoa, an
NGO charged with educating New Zealanders on global development issues. Tania is known for fostering confidence for those with little or no exposure to the Maori language and culture in a fun, safe learning environment.

Consultant, Erima Henare has iwi affiliations to Te Aupouri, Ngati Kahu, Te Rarawa, Ngapuhi, Ngati Whatua, Tainui, Te Ati Awa, Rongowhakaata,
Te Aitanga-a-Mahaki and Tuwharetoa. The son of Sir James Henare, a champion of the Maori language and culture, Erima is New Zealand's Maori Language Commissioner, a member of Creative New Zealand's Arts Council, Executive Director Maori at New Zealand's Open Polytechnic
and a personal advisor to the Maori King.

Consultant, David Jones (LLB) is of Rongowhakaata and Ngati Kahungunu descent. A fluent speaker of te reo Maori, David was
a recipient of the Ngarimu VC and 28 (Maori) Battalion Memorial Scholarship Awards, and was a reporter for Maori Televisions news service Te Kaea. David is an aspiring Maori leader having been an ambassador for the Ship for World Youth Programme, a representative for
Rongowhakaata at the Young Maori Leaders Conference and also a trustee of the Rongowhakaata Charitable Trust. David is a Maori Television presenter for waka ama and the current Maori law student coordinator at Victoria University of Wellington.
